I’ve been making my smooth and creamy peanut butter pie for over a decade. Years ago I submitted the recipe to, and have changed some of the ingredient portions over time. A favorite dessert at holiday gatherings, it is rich beyond measure. A small piece is extremely satisfying.
My husband prefers his peanut butter pie plain, my mom and I like to eat our slices with a dollop of cool whip, and my dad loves to add chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cashews. My favorite thing about this pie is that it is SO easy to make. Just whip it up in a large mixing bowl, let it firm up overnight, and you are all set. Just don’t tell anyone it only takes about 10 minutes to make-they’ll think you spent all afternoon on it!

Serves: 8-12
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter*
  • 1&1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 12 oz. container extra creamy cool-whip
  • 1 chocolate pie crust**
  1. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar until combined.
  3. Whisk in the cool-whip, continuing to whisk until mixture is smooth and no lumps remain.
  4. Pour into pie crust and refrigerate overnight before serving.
*I use Jif peanut butter. **Try it with an Oreo pie crust-you won't be disappointed!
