Magic White Chocolate Oreo Smores Bars
The base layer consists of crushed Oreos and melted butter.
The second layer is a whole bag of white chocolate chips.
The third layer is a whole canister of Jet Puffed Marshmallow Bits.
Pour a warmed can of sweetened condensed milk over all the layers.
The marshmallow bits will turn a lovely golden color when
allowed to brown for the last several minutes of baking.
Serve these bars warm out of the oven or cold out of the fridge!
Ooey, gooey deliciousness!

Most people have heard of seven layer magic cookie bars (also known as Hello Dollies). The traditional bar has a graham cracker crumb base, followed by layers of semi-sweet chips, butterscotch chips, and walnuts or pecans. I have wanted to try them for ages, but I am not a huge fan of graham cracker crusts or lots of nuts. I decided to try the bars, but on my own terms.
For the base I substituted thirty Oreo cookies for the crushed graham crackers, decreasing the butter a few tablespoons from the regular cookie bar recipe. I used all white chocolate chips, and instead of nuts used a whole canister of the new Jet Puffed Marshmallow Bits. I was afraid that the marshmallows may burn, so I covered the pan with aluminum foil for the first part of baking. I removed the foil for the last ten minutes in the oven, and the bars cooked up wonderfully, leaving a beautiful golden marshmallow topping.
The bars themselves are extremely sweet. The first day my husband and I ate them warm, and he heated his up in the microwave the next day. I, on the other hand, ate mine cold the next day and can’t make up my mind which temperature I prefer. The bars are very gooey, chocolatey, and and taste like you are popping a white chocolate Oreo smore into your mouth, (hence the name).
