York Peppermint Patty Fudge

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, I have a brand new fudge recipe for you. It is loaded with white chocolate and peppermint flavor. A heaping cup of chopped York peppermint patties are dotted throughout this delicious treat. Refreshing, rich, and festive, this is the perfect addition to an Irish meal.

Serves: 48
  • 1&1/2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • ¾ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 12 oz. bag Ghiradelli white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • several drops green food coloring
  • 1 7 oz. container marshmallow creme
  • 1 heaping cup York Peppermint Patties,
  • chopped and frozen
  1. In a large saucepan, stir together the butter, sugar, and heavy cream. Keep stirring over medium heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Boil and stir for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and immediately add the white chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the peppermint extract, green food coloring, and marshmallow creme, stirring until smooth and no lumps remain.
  4. Add the chopped and frozen York peppermint patties, stirring just until combined. (They will melt a little while stirring and leave milk chocolate ribbons in the fudge; just make sure they don't melt completely and turn the whole batch brown).
  5. Immediately pour fudge into a greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Let cool on shelf two hours before cutting.
