Watermelon Lime Granita - Dreaming of White Chocolate
          This watermelon lime granita is the perfect side dish (or light dessert) for a fourth of July party. It is ice cold, sweet, with just the right amount of tang from the lime juice.

Serves: 8-12
  • 6 cups diced watermelon
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  1. In a blender, puree the watermelon, sugar, and lime juice. Mixture should be smooth.
  2. Transfer to a metal 9"x13" cake pan. Freeze for three hours, stirring with the back of a fork once every hour until ready.
  3. To serve, flake vigorously with a fork to form icy flakes.
To make ahead, follow the same three hour directions. When ready to serve, scrape quickly with a fork to flake.
