White Chocolate Sprinkle Hearts

My four year old daughter is very excited about Valentine’s Day this year. A few days ago she spotted my Wilton silicon heart mold tray in the cupboard. Since then, she has been asking to make Valentine treats with it.

Two years ago, I used star silicon molds to make patriotic white chocolate M&M stars for Independence Day. Branching off from this idea, we layered the heart molds with Valentine’s sprinkles and poured in melted lavender white chocolate. (My daughter’s favorite color is purple, hence the hue).

The hearts unfolded beautifully, and they taste richly sweet and satisfying. My daughter was excited to share these treats with her Nana and Pop-Pop, who both enjoyed them immensely.

Serves: 24
  • 12 oz. Wilton white chocolate candy melts
  • ½ cup Valentine sprinkles
  1. Prepare a silicon heart mold tray by spooning about 1 teaspoon sprinkles in the bottom of each heart cavity.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in short 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  3. Drop a large spoonful of the melted chocolate on top of the sprinkles. Smooth out the top (which will actually become the bottom) with the back of your spoon.
  4. Place in freezer for 10 minutes before carefully popping out of molds.
